Program MENKOS

The Program MENKOS working together with HYKAS or GraPS collects all the channel data and estimates the cost for the conduit and the manholes.

General

Screen - shots

In order to be able to accomplish the quantity estimation with the Program MENKOS, at first the allocation of the table is necessary. It comprises of various parameters in the index table like: materials, prices, slopes, installation strength, working space etc.

The programs HYKAS and GraPS must be there to run MENKOS.

Data collection

The geometrical data will be collected in HYKAS/GraPS or imported with ISYBAU or ASCII- interface.

After the hydraulic design calculation is completed, the corresponding entries are made in MENKOS e.g. the table index for the conduits and the manholes.

While allocating the indices in the interface, the actual values for the individual thickness of the manholes should be given directly.

The various tables for the Pipelines, Materials, Shoring, Slopes and Manhole components are consistently used in the programs HYKAS and WERT . The advantage with this is that, for all the three programs, allocation can be done only once.

Aushub und Verfüllschichten

As represented in the sketch, the pipe trench is divided into different layers. Variable sizes such as "upper bedding" on the pipeline section and the bedslope are calculated by MENKOS .

Each of these layers is again assigned to a material index. This makes possible to control how the quantity estimation is to be detailed by MENKOS .

Computation result

The result of the calculation are tabulated in separate tables in the project database. With MS Access, your own evaluation and report generation are possible.

The result of the calculation is grouped in the following way:

Conduit wise quantity and cost estimation
Manhole wise quantity and cost estimation
Conduit-wise pipe list
Quantity and Cost estimation of pipe
Cost of manhole excavation, backfilling and shoring
Cost of Manhole components
